While the best players in the world are otherwise occupied in Las Vegas, now is a great time to qualify for Ignition Poker´s Super Millions Poker Open.
Ignition Poker´s Super Millions Poker Open takes place on the US-friendly poker site from Saturday 15th July until Sunday 13th August, and consists of 105 events guaranteeing more than $2.5 million in prize money. The series schedule has something for everyone who loves a variety of Texas Hold´em and Omaha Poker tournaments, with buy-ins for the events starting at just $5.50.
Satellites for the higher buy-in events have just started at Ignition Poker, giving “stay-at-home” players (i.e. those who have not travelled to Las Vegas) the opportunity to qualify cheaply for the feature events. With satellite buy-ins starting from just $0.55, and fields a little smaller than they will likely be when players start busting out of the WSOP Main Event next week, now is a great time to qualify.
Plenty of Variety and Plenty of Action
The Super Millions Poker Open is packed full of variety. In addition to some excellent “regular” NLHE tournaments, Ignition Poker has included shootout, heads-up, knockout and hyper turbo events in the schedule. With more than a subtle nod to the WSOP, there is also a Crazy Eights event, a Monster Stack event, and several Thousandaire Maker events in which players who make the money each win $1,000.
Ignition Poker also has a strong Omaha community and, in order to cater for players with a preference for the four card game, the site had included fifteen Omaha events in the schedule. These also have plenty of variety and include Hi/Lo, knockout and heads-up formats, as well as a special PLO edition of the Thousandaire Maker on Saturday 12th August.
The feature event of the series is the $300,000 guaranteed Main Event on Sunday 13th August at 5:00pm (ET). This colossal event has a healthy satellite schedule to help players qualify cheaply for the $450.00 buy-in tournament. However, just in case achieving a seat in the Main Event proves to be too difficult, Ignition Poker is also hosting a Mini Main Event with a buy-in of $82.00 two hours earlier.
Be Careful What Satellites You Enter
With the volume of satellites now populating the tournament lobby at Ignition Poker, we are advising players to take care with what satellites they enter. Each of the tournaments in the Super Millions Poker Open is single entry only. If you inadvertently win two seats to the same event, you cannot exchange your second seat for cash or tournament dollars.
There is also plenty of satellites feeding into next Sunday´s $100,000 guaranteed “regular” Sunday tournament. These take the format of “Cheap Seats”, Semi-Finals” and Finals” so they should be quite distinguishable from the qualifiers for the Super Millions Poker Open. Just to be sure, always check for the initials SMPO in the target event.
Join Ignition Poker Today and Get a Bonus up to $1,000
As well as offering an exciting schedule of tournaments, and realistic chances of qualifying for them cheaply, Ignition Poker is offering players the opportunity to fund their Super Millions Poker Open buy-ins with a first deposit bonus of up to $1,000. The Ignition Poker bonus is released in weighted stages, giving new players a welcome boost to their bankrolls earlier than many other first deposit bonuses.
Full details of the bonus offer, plus several other good reasons for playing at the site, can be found in our Ignition Poker review. I suggest players waste no time heading over to the site in order to take advantage of the comprehensive satellite schedule for the Super Millions Poker Open, because next week the competition is likely to get substantially tougher.
